Our client is a leading retail brand, high-growth retail scale‑up, seeking 2 experienced Contract Talent Acquisition Specialist/ Recruiters for 3- 6 months at their Durban Head office
. to support a critical period of growth and transformation. You will own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for a range of mid-to-senior level roles, with a primary focus on Retail Operations, Finance, and Marketing functions. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you will be instrumental in attracting top talent to drive our business forward.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Hiring Managers in Retail Operations, Finance, and Marketing to define role requirements, develop effective sourcing strategies, and manage candidate pipelines.
  • Proactively source candidates using direct methods (Linked In Recruiter, Boolean searches, networking, headhunting) and manage responses from job advertisements.
  • Screen, interview, and assess candidates, providing detailed feedback and shortlists.
  • Champion an exceptional candidate experience, ensuring timely communication and a professional process.
  • Coordinate interviews, manage the offer process (including compensation benchmarking), and support pre‑onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), providing regular pipeline and market insight reports.
  • Operate as a trusted talent advisor, offering market intelligence and guidance on best‑practice recruitment.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Proven Recruiter: 3+ years of agency or in‑house recruitment experience, with a strong track record of filling roles in fast‑paced environments.
  • Any qualification in HR/ Business Administration/ any other related qualification.
  • Sector Expertise: Demonstrable experience recruiting for Retail Operations (e.g., Area/Store Managers, Supply Chain, Merchandising)
    and/or Corporate Functions (Finance, Marketing, Digital).
  • Full‑Cycle Mastery: Expertise in all stages of recruitment, from complex sourcing to negotiation and closing.
  • Sourcing Prowess: Advanced skills in direct sourcing using Linked In Recruiter, Boolean search, and other creative channels.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage senior hiring managers.
  • Advantageous Experience
  • In‑house recruitment experience within the Retail, FMCG, or Consumer sectors.
  • Specific experience hiring for Finance (Commercial Finance, FP&A) or Marketing (Brand, E-commerce, CRM) roles within a retail context.
  • Experience with volume or campaign hiring for retail operations.
