We're seeking an experienced Reverse Logistics Supervisor to be responsible for controlling and optimizing day-to-day processing of returned goods (appliances) from customers, retailers, branches, factory and x-dock facilities, ensuring they are inspected, classified, recorded, system transferred and routed correctly to the correct storage locations.

He/she is also responsible for managing resources, performance indicators and the security of goods. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that safety instructions are applied to his/her colleagues. He/she is responsible for the management of the team entrusted to him/her.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Returns
  • Ensure the effective and efficient carry out of Reverse Logistics operations, ensuring accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of defect goods.
  • Conduct regular inspections and root cause analysis with Client on returned and warehouse damaged stock, locations, and packaging issues.
  • Ensure the crediting and processing process and ensure all databases are updated accordingly.
Defective Goods and Reworks
  • Coordinate with the Reverse Logistics Team Leaders to assign personnel for correctly receiving, storing, and dispatching defective stock received.
  • Monitor and optimize storage space, consolidating inventory where necessary to free up space.
  • Ensure that planned reworks with the Client are completed timeously.
  • Ensure that all planned sales on defect stock are completed effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain effective inventory control procedures to ensure defect stock accuracy and availability.
System Management
  • Implement and manage the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to streamline Reverse Logistics processes.
  • Ensure system to system alignment on inventory holding for defect stock.
  • Utilize WMS to generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies for defective goods.
Reporting and Analysis
  • Generate and update databases and reports, including stock aging reports, reworks completed, returns processed and process improvement logs.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to the Reverse Logistics Manager.
  • Ensure all key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Reverse Logistics Management, such as damage causes and damage rates are updated daily.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Matric or Diploma/Certificate in Supply Chain, Inventory, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • One to two years of experience in reverse logistics/returns processing background.
  • Experience supervising warehouse staff.
  • Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices in inventory management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
