Head of Life Insurance

An established financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Life Insurance to build and scale its Life business into a major growth engine.

This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a Life insurance portfolio and transform it from a modest base into a market-leading business over the medium term.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the Life Insurance business as a standalone unit, with responsibility for strategy, growth, product development and commercial performance. The mandate is clear: scale Life premium volumes significantly, strengthen distribution partnerships, and establish Life as one of the organisation’s most strategically important divisions.

• Own and execute the Life insurance strategy, driving strong and sustainable growth
• Lead product development across Term Life, Group Life, Funeral and Endowment products
• Drive growth through B2B employer schemes, bancassurance and selected retail channels
• Build and lead the Life business unit, including underwriting, claims and product teams
• Manage pricing, portfolio performance and profitability
• Work closely with banking and distribution partners to unlock scale
• Engage regularly with senior leadership and Board-level stakeholders

• Senior Life insurance professional with proven build-and-scale experience
• Strong technical understanding of Life products and portfolio management
• Commercial, energetic and execution-focused
