About the RoleThis is primarily a sales and business development position (80%) with a front office and reception component (20%). You’ll be responsible for driving new business through relationship‑building with local brokers and dealerships, following up on leads, and converting quotes into confirmed jobs all while being the warm, professional first point of contact for customers walking through the door.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development (80%)- Proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the Ballito area
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local insurance brokers and car dealerships
- Conducting regular courtesy visits and check‑ins with key referral partners
- Following up on quotes and leads with the goal of converting them into confirmed bookings
- Promoting the business within the local community to grow brand awareness and generate work
- Liaising between customers, insurers, and the workshop team to ensure a smooth and professional experience from start to finish
- Welcoming customers and managing the front desk in a friendly and professional manner
- Handling incoming calls, emails, and Whats App enquiries
- Booking vehicles in and keeping customers updated throughout the repair process
- Preparing quotes and maintaining accurate customer records
- Keeping the reception area organised, professional, and presentable
The ideal candidate has previous experience in sales, business development, or relationship management. Automotive industry experience is a strong advantage. You’ll need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a confident and polished professional manner, and a genuine drive to bring in new business and nurture long‑term partnerships. You should be comfortable with basic computer systems and admin tasks, able to multitask in a busy environment, and hold a valid driver’s licence for broker and dealership visits in the area.
A Matric (Grade 12) certificate is required, and a reliable, punctual, and self‑motivated attitude is essential.
