Chemist – Durban

An established company in Durban is seeking a Chemist to support research and development of new products, maintain and enhance existing products, and ensure quality and efficiency in the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, develop, and analyse new products and processes

• Maintain SOPs, documentation, and quality standards

• Source and evaluate new or alternative raw materials

• Implement and monitor quality controls in production

• Supervise and train production staff as required

• Support QC laboratory activities

Requirements:

• BSc, HND, or equivalent Chemistry degree (essential)

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Adhesives industry

• Experience with solvent-based and water-based adhesives

• Hands-on laboratory experience

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary: Market-related, based on experience
