Instrument Mechanician

overview

main purpose of job maintain existing equipment – pneumatic and electronic. Maintain dcs system. Fault finding on all equipment and installations. Commissioning of new equipment. Undertake standby duties for entire plant. Participatte in plant shutdown and project commissioning. Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and statutory requirements.

• matric/n4 with recognised trade test in instrumentation and process control.
• 2 years experience in industry with exposure to pneumatic and electronic instrumentation.
• knowledge of programmable logic controllers and distributed control systems (dcs).
• exposure to high pressure boiler control would be an advantage.
• hard working. Able to work in a team, displaying good communication skills.
• good work ethic and principles, with attention to detail.
• must be flexible in order to meet the challenges in a demanding enviroment.
• positive attitude towards safety.
