We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Detection and Gas Suppression Technician to join our team in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal. The ideal candidate will hold a valid SAQCC Fire Detection Commissioner registration, have at least 3–5 years of relevant experience, and demonstrate strong technical and problem‑solving abilities. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that fire detection and gas suppression systems are installed, serviced, tested, and commissioned in full compliance with relevant regulations and client specifications.

• Commission fire detection and gas suppression systems in line with applicable standards (e.g., SANS 10139, 246, 322 & 369).
• Conduct detailed system checks, tests, and inspections to verify operational readiness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults on fire control panels.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate commissioning records and reports.
• Provide technical guidance to support teams and junior technicians.
• Attend training and development programmes as required.

• 3–5 years minimum experience in fire detection and gas suppression systems (installation, commissioning, and servicing).
• Valid SAQCC Fire Detection Commissioner registration.
• Technical training certificates in fire detection systems (e.g., SANS 10139, SANS 246, SANS 322, and SANS 369).
• Product‑specific training from suppliers such as Ziton, Technoswitch, etc. (advantageous).
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle (essential for site access).
• South African citizenship, with a valid SA , no criminal record, sober habits, and medically fit for physical field work.
• At least 3 contactable references must be provided.
