About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Automotive Electrician Specialist to join their expanding service center in Durban . This role focuses specifically on the diagnosis and repair of complex electrical and electronic systems in modern vehicles. You will be instrumental in troubleshooting issues ranging from battery and charging systems to advanced infotainment and driver-assistance technologies. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of vehicle electrical architecture and a passion for staying current with automotive electronic advancements, contributing to a team known for its precision and efficiency in Durban .

• Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, sensors, ECUs, and lighting.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and multimeters to pinpoint electrical issues accurately.
• Install and service aftermarket electronic accessories, such as alarms, audio systems, and GPS trackers.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on hybrid and electric vehicle electrical components.
• Ensure all electrical repairs are compliant with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians to resolve complex, multi-system vehicle problems.

• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or Technician with a specialization in electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical principles, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools specific to vehicle electrical systems.
• Experience with CAN bus systems and other vehicle networks is essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a workshop environment.
• Relevant certifications in automotive electrical systems are highly desirable.
