About the RoleAs a Truck Mechanic , you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of modern commercial vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and roadworthy.
Working in a professional workshop environment, you'll use your technical expertise to diagnose faults, complete preventative maintenance, and carry out repairs to the highest industry standards.
What You’ll Be DoingYour responsibilities will include:
- Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on commercial trucks
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across a range of truck brands
- Inspecting, servicing, and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and brake systems
- Completing repairs in line with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Carrying out welding and light fabrication work where required
- Repairing and replacing truck curtains and tarpaulins
- Reading and interpreting technical manuals and workshop documentation
- Completing workshop records accurately
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment
- Working closely with the workshop team to maximise fleet reliability and minimise downtime
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Mechanic, or Heavy Vehicle Technician
- A recognised qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics, or a related trade (preferred)
- 3-5 years' experience maintaining and repairing commercial trucks or heavy vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on hydraulic, pneumatic, and braking systems
- A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a professional workshop team
- Welding and fabrication
- Truck curtain and tarpaulin repairs
- Experience working with multiple commercial truck brands
- Afrikaans proficiency is essential for this opportunity.
- Good English communication skills are also required.

- Willing and able to relocate to Belgium
- Valid passport (or willing to obtain one)
