Solar PV Installation Supervisor

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Solar PV Installation Supervisor to oversee the successful deployment of photovoltaic systems in and around Durban. You will lead a team of installers, ensuring all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, adhering to all technical specifications and regulatory requirements. This role is crucial for expanding the company's presence in the Kwa Zulu-Natal solar market.

As a supervisor based in Durban, you will be hands-on, directing site activities and troubleshooting any challenges that arise, playing a key role in delivering reliable solar solutions to our clients.

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the solar PV installation crews on residential and commercial sites.
• Ensure all installations are performed safely, complying with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Conduct pre-installation site assessments and verify that all necessary materials and equipment are available.
• Monitor installation progress, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure adherence to design plans and electrical codes.
• Train and mentor installation team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
• Perform final quality checks and commissioning of installed systems, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.

• Proven experience as a supervisor or team lead in solar PV installations .
• Strong knowledge of solar panel systems, inverters, mounting hardware, and electrical wiring.
• Familiarity with South African National Standards (SANS) and electrical regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Durban region.
