Electrician/ Electrician Installation
Qualified electrician with strong practical experience. Excellent electrical fault-finding and diagnostic ability . Strong residential and light-commercial maintenance experience. Excellent knowledge and practical application of SANS 10142-1 and electrical compliance requirements. Strong experience with inspection, testing and COC work . Ideally appropriately registered to inspect, test and issue Certificates of Compliance within their permitted scope. Confident working on existing installations, DBs, earth leakage faults, nuisance tripping, circuit faults, geysers, stoves, lighting, plugs, switches and general electrical maintenance.
Ability to identify non-compliances and clearly determine the rectification work required. Ability to scope and price/quote smaller electrical repairs and alterations accurately. Good understanding of materials and ability to determine what is required for a job without unnecessary trips to suppliers. Able to supervise and efficiently utilise an electrical assistant. We are looking for an independent, customer-focused electrician who can think for themselves, take ownership of a job and work with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate should be well presented, professional, punctual and organised, with strong customer-facing ability and good communication skills. They must be comfortable with digital job cards, reporting, documentation, stock management and following defined company procedures. The right person will take pride in their workmanship, vehicle, tools, stock and customer relationships, with potential to progress into a senior/team-leader role.
