Current and Valid CT Teaching Certification (065/165)
Performance Expectations/Qualifications/Responsibilities:
- Current and Valid CT Certification as a Special Education Teacher (065/165)
- Experience in working with students with diverse educational needs and supports
- Strong ability to develop and maintain communication and rapport with parents
- Knowledge of evidence-based learning strategies to support identified students in the least restrictive environment
- Ability to collect, manage and analyze data to measure student progress and inform instruction
- Experience in formal evaluation and assessment practices
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders
- Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, a high degree of flexibility and initiative
- Knows and effectively communicates the Regional School District 13 philosophy and mission
