Position:
Registered Behavior Technician

Reports to:

Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)/Administration Schools:
Coginchaug Regional High School (2 positions);
Lyman (1 position) and Brewster (1 position) Positions Available: SY 26-27 (NSO is 8/19/26, first day is 8/24/26)

Qualifications:

Maintain Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required PMT Certification Strong verbal and written communication skills

Description of Basic Responsibilities:
The Behavior Technician, under the direct supervision of the Behavior Analyst assists in the development and implementation of behavior intervention programs for students with challenging behavioral needs at various sites throughout the district, monitors and collects data on behavior, documents progress and collaborates with school staff to coach and implement behavior interventions.

Responsibilities:
Assist with delivering behavior analysis services and practice under the direction of the BCBA Implement programs and behavior intervention plans provided by a special education teacher/BCBA/School Psychologist Collect and record data regarding student behavior including progress notes Maintain accurate records of student data Communicate with school staff regarding student plans Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries with staff, students, and parents Assist special education teacher/BCBA with providing discrete trial instruction Collaborate with all team members including teachers, para educators, administrators, related service providers, and parents Follow RBT ethics codes as required by the BACB Immediately reports to special education teacher or BCBA any student incidents or complaints Perform other responsibilities as designated by the Director of Pupil Services and supervisory BCBA in accordance with the BACB's published task list Maintains Safety Care training Participates in team meetings including Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings, as requested Willing to work with students from pre-school through 12th grade Willing to work with students with toileting and feeding needs

Compensation:
Starting rate is $24.91 with RBT Certification (the District will pay for the certification if candidate is otherwise qualified). Benefits included.
