Registered Behavior Technician Position Available
The Behavior Technician, under the direct supervision of the Behavior Analyst, assists in the development and implementation of behavior intervention programs for students with challenging behavioral needs at various sites throughout the district. The role involves monitoring and collecting data on behavior, documenting progress, and collaborating with school staff to coach and implement behavior interventions.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with delivering behavior analysis services and practice under the direction of the BCBA
- Implementing programs and behavior intervention plans provided by a special education teacher/BCBA/School Psychologist
- Collecting and recording data regarding student behavior including progress notes
- Maintaining accurate records of student data
- Communicating with school staff regarding student plans
- Maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries with staff, students, and parents
- Assisting special education teacher/BCBA with providing discrete trial instruction
- Collaborating with all team members including teachers, para educators, administrators, related service providers, and parents
- Following RBT ethics codes as required by the BACB
- Immediately reporting to special education teacher or BCBA any student incidents or complaints
- Performing other responsibilities as designated by the Director of Pupil Services and supervisory BCBA in accordance with the BACB's published task list
- Maintaining Safety Care training
- Participating in team meetings including Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings, as requested
- Willing to work with students from pre-school through 12th grade
- Willing to work with students with toileting and feeding needs
Compensation:
Starting rate is $24.91 with RBT Certification (the District will pay for the certification if candidate is otherwise qualified). Benefits included.
