Position: All Terrain Forklift Operator

Position Summary:

United Concrete Products is hiring an experienced Heavy Forklift Operator to support daily operations at our facility. This is a hands‑on, outdoor role that requires operating high-capacity forklifts ranging from 36,000 to 55,000 lbs. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, managing yard inventory, and assisting with general labor in the shop as needed. A dedicated spotter will be assigned to assist during lifting and transport operations.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday: 4:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Saturday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM (as needed)

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate heavy-capacity forklifts (36,000–55,000 lbs) throughout the facility and yard
Load and unload flatbed trucks and other delivery vehicles
Transport, stack, and organize materials in yard storage areas
Work in coordination with an assigned spotter during all major lifts and movements
Assist with general labor tasks in the shop when forklift duties are not required
Perform daily pre‑operation equipment inspections and document findings
Monitor forklift performance and report any mechanical issues to maintenance
Ensure all materials are stored safely and in accordance with weight capacity limits
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment
Follow all OSHA regulations
, company safety policies, and standard operating procedures
Communicate with supervisors, truck drivers, and yard personnel to ensure smooth workflow
Assist with inventory tracking and material counts as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience operating forklifts with a capacity of 36,000 lbs or greater
Valid forklift operator certification
Proven experience loading and unloading commercial trucks
Working knowledge of load charts, weight distribution, and safe rigging practices
Experience in a precast concrete, construction materials, or heavy industrial setting is preferred
Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions year‑round
Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety at all times
Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Basic understanding of hand signals and two‑way radio communication
Must pass a drug test and background check
