Position Summary:
United Concrete Products is hiring an experienced Heavy Forklift Operator to support daily operations at our facility. This is a hands‑on, outdoor role that requires operating high-capacity forklifts ranging from 36,000 to 55,000 lbs. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, managing yard inventory, and assisting with general labor in the shop as needed. A dedicated spotter will be assigned to assist during lifting and transport operations.
Schedule:- Monday–Friday: 4:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Saturday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM (as needed)
- Safely operate heavy-capacity forklifts (36,000–55,000 lbs) throughout the facility and yard
- Load and unload flatbed trucks and other delivery vehicles
- Transport, stack, and organize materials in yard storage areas
- Work in coordination with an assigned spotter during all major lifts and movements
- Assist with general labor tasks in the shop when forklift duties are not required
- Perform daily pre‑operation equipment inspections and document findings
- Monitor forklift performance and report any mechanical issues to maintenance
- Ensure all materials are stored safely and in accordance with weight capacity limits
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work environment
- Follow all OSHA regulations
, company safety policies, and standard operating procedures - Communicate with supervisors, truck drivers, and yard personnel to ensure smooth workflow
- Assist with inventory tracking and material counts as needed
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating forklifts with a capacity of 36,000 lbs or greater
- Valid forklift operator certification
- Proven experience loading and unloading commercial trucks
- Working knowledge of load charts, weight distribution, and safe rigging practices
- Experience in a precast concrete, construction materials, or heavy industrial setting is preferred
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions year‑round
- Strong situational awareness and commitment to safety at all times
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of hand signals and two‑way radio communication
- Must pass a drug test and background check
