Basic Summary
Perform and support core accounting functions, including financial transactions, reconciliations, and month‑end close activities.
- Execute day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and PharPoint staff on issues or queries.
- Support and actively contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual close activities.
- Comply with all corporate policies and adhere to all GCP guidelines.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
- Develop, document, and maintain accounting processes and policies to strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance.
- Contribute to strong internal and external client relationships through positive interactions.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.

- Provide input into department’s goal setting process.
- Develop, document, and maintain accounting processes and policies to strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance.
- Contribute to strong internal and external client relationships through positive interactions.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. - Experience:
3 years in accounting or financial discipline, preferably in a contract research organization (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted). - Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficient with accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Quick Books) and Excel.
- Professional certification preferred (e.g., CPA, chartered accountant).
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with no limitations on driving availability.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to understand both written and verbal communication, type/work at a computer, and sit for up to 90% of the workday.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- General office working conditions; the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
