Senior Tax Associate

A growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Associate to support its expanding tax and advisory practice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical tax work with client service, problem-solving, and team development.

The Senior Tax Associate will work closely with clients and firm leadership while also providing guidance to less-experienced team members. The successful candidate will be a thoughtful, dependable professional who can manage responsibilities independently, communicate clearly, and build trusted client relationships.

• Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, corporate, and other business tax returns
• Assist clients with tax planning, entity considerations, cash-flow strategies, and other advisory needs
• Identify potential tax-saving opportunities and clearly communicate recommendations to clients
• Build and maintain strong relationships with small and mid-sized business owners
• Provide technical support, feedback, and mentorship to junior team members
• Collaborate with managers and firm leadership on client engagements and internal priorities
• Help improve internal processes, workflows, and the overall client experience
• Support the evaluation and adoption of technology, automation, and artificial intelligence tools
• Manage multiple deadlines and assignments while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness

• At least three years of public accounting experience
• Experience preparing complex individual and business tax returns
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop productive, trusted client relationships
• Organized and proactive approach to managing assignments and deadlines
• High degree of integrity, accountability, and professional judgment
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

• CPA, Enrolled Agent, or progress toward a relevant professional certification
• Experience using professional tax preparation, document management, or workflow software
• Familiarity with serving privately held companies and small to mid-sized businesses
• Interest in technology, process automation, and emerging accounting tools
• Previous experience reviewing work or mentoring junior staff
