Processing Assistant IV (Eligibility) – Iredell County, NC
Seeking applicants for Processing Assistant IV position. The primary responsibility of this position is to independently implement policies and procedures to assess patients' eligibility for sliding scale discount and collect payment. These tasks are completed for MH, FP, CH, General Clinic, IMM, and Dental programs as well as Walk‑in services. The position must be able to perform all tasks in a timely manner so that clinic flow will move smoothly and efficiently.
The position must be able to handle sensitive information with courtesy and tact.
Top candidates for this position are able to follow written policies and procedures to perform work independently, have strong math skills, are organized, articulate, and present themselves professionally and courteously. Must be able to problem‑solve and work independently following training. Regular work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Availability during emergencies and exercise is required.
Minimum Education and ExperienceGraduation from high school or GED, and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistant or secretarial experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Necessary Special QualificationsAbility to type/data entry with accuracy and speed required; typing, data entry, and mathematical tests will be given.

- Attention to detail
- Document scanning with meta‑data knowledge
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Salary$34,143.18 – $35,360.00 (Grade 321
C)
