The Steve Troxler Agricultural Sciences Center (STASC) is a state‑of‑the‑art laboratory complex housing approximately 220 employees across several departments related to food, drug, and pest control.
Responsibilities- Provide efficient and effective services, implementing, executing, reporting and tracking operational and financial activities for the ASC Division.
- Serve as the front desk greeter and point of contact for visitors, answering, responding to, and routing customer phone calls.
- Complete budget and finance duties, including processing invoices, procurement card reconciliations, verifying budget and account codes, and researching financial transactions in NCFS.
- Implement procurement functions and maintain inventory records in the Asset Optics inventory management software system.
- Schedule meeting rooms for external groups, communicate with users to define and arrange meeting logistics, and finalize reservations.
- Maintain visitor services and records for more than 4,000 annual transactions and coordinate meetings and training events.
- Maintain SharePoint and digital communication systems, prepare operational reports, and develop SOPs for process improvements.
- Support emergency accountability procedures and facility access coordination to enhance building safety and security.
- Experience operating a multi‑line phone system, including transferring calls and paging.
- Working knowledge of financial and budgeting policies and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for scheduling and meeting coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple complex processes simultaneously, exercise discretion, and exercise independent decision‑making.
- Recruitment range: $39,244–$46,603. Salary may be less than the maximum range for balance with similarly situated employees or based on education and experience.
High school diploma or GED and two years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
