Job Overview
The Department of Emergency Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to support its academic and clinical operations.
Responsibilities- Partner with department leadership (Chair, Vice Chairs, Division Chiefs, CAO) to execute strategic priorities and special projects.
- Manage and supervise the administrative support team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Coordinate complex administrative activities, meetings, and communications across faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Plan and execute departmental events, meetings, and VIP visits, including travel coordination and logistics.
- Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and generate financial reports for initiatives and events.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least four years of experience in an executive administrative or similar role.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting senior leadership in a complex or matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- This position is onsite.
USD $59,829.00 to USD $86,700.00.
