Description of Work

This Administrative Associate II position is located in the Mental Health Department at Scotland Correctional Institution in Laurinburg, NC, which houses up to 1,756 male offenders in close, medium, and minimum custody facilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing all incoming and outgoing mail, and receiving incoming shipments of supplies, materials, and equipment for the Mental Health department.
  • Ensuring the efficient and timely processing of offender and staff mail in compliance with DAC policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating research for mental health offender grievances.
  • Performing a variety of office and technical tasks to specialize in the processing of information, documents, and materials.
  • Scheduling mental health appointments, preparing and maintaining logs/reports, coordinating tracking systems for mental health offenders, and meeting daily and monthly deadlines.
  • Communicating orally and in writing with offenders, offender families, staff, management, government officials, and the general public.
Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Documented experience performing administrative functions in an office setting.
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $31,200 - $51,249
