Description of WorkThis position provides clerical and administrative support to the staff of Professional Services, including the Departments of Activities, Psychology, and Rehabilitation Services. The role involves developing, reviewing, scanning, previewing, typing, and reproducing departmental and administrative procedures and plans tailored to the specific disciplines within the department. Responsibilities include transcribing, typing, and reviewing or scanning documents for appropriate language and grammar, and using office technology to manage data independently.
Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, including report creation, database maintenance, data tracking, and professional correspondence.
- Document editing, proofreading, and formatting skills for reports, policies, procedures, and correspondence.
- Administrative support skills, including document preparation, records management, scheduling, and customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain organized filing systems (electronic and paper), meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Recruitment Range: $39,244 to $68,679.
LocationLongleaf Neuro‑Medical Treatment Center (LNMTC), located in Wilson, NC, is a state‑operated certified Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) with a staff of about 520, providing support to approximately 200 residents with complex medical needs and/or co‑existing neuro‑cognitive disorders.
Emergency RequirementsThis position is designated mandatory and may require reporting or staying on‑site during adverse weather events or emergencies.
Minimum Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
