Data Entry Operator

Overview

Data Entry Operator – RTP, NC Responsible for timely and accurate entry of patient test results into laboratory systems.

Second Shift, Tuesday—Saturday 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm.

• Perform data entry of patient results in a timely and accurate manner.
• Print out and distribute daily worksheets for technical staff.
• Use various laboratory systems to enter test results.
• Ensure test results are stored in their proper location.
• Call clients with test results when necessary.
• Order supplies for the department when needed.
• Other administrative and clerical tasks as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.

• Strong data entry and typing skills; proficient with computers.
• Comfortable handling of biological specimens.
• Ability to accurately identify specimens.
• High level of attention to detail with ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and meet established turnaround times.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.
