Overview
Data Entry Operator – RTP, NC Responsible for timely and accurate entry of patient test results into laboratory systems.
Work ScheduleSecond Shift, Tuesday—Saturday 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
Job Responsibilities- Perform data entry of patient results in a timely and accurate manner.
- Print out and distribute daily worksheets for technical staff.
- Use various laboratory systems to enter test results.
- Ensure test results are stored in their proper location.
- Call clients with test results when necessary.
- Order supplies for the department when needed.
- Other administrative and clerical tasks as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
- 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.
- Strong data entry and typing skills; proficient with computers.
- Comfortable handling of biological specimens.
- Ability to accurately identify specimens.
- High level of attention to detail with ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and meet established turnaround times.
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.
