Description of Work

The Office of the Governor of North Carolina is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented interns to support the Boards and Commissions team. Interns will aid with drafting letters, oaths, and certificates for newly appointed members and filing signed oaths, notices of appointment, and board checklists.

Internship Details

Location: Raleigh, NC (In-Person)

Schedule: 15 weeks (minimum of 10 hours per week)

Term Dates: August 17, 2026 – December 4, 2026

Compensation: One-time stipend of $560.00

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate course of study
  • Demonstrated interest in North Carolina news and current events
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Self‑motivated team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess strong administrative skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Qualifications

Eligibility requires being currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies. Applicants should demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. An interest in North Carolina news and current events is desirable.
