The Office of Undergraduate Admissions admits and serves an eligible, diverse student population regionally, nationally, and internationally. This position will support the Undergraduate Admissions Office’s commitment to recruiting, evaluating, and enrolling a talented and diverse student body that enables NCCU to achieve its mission.

Proven excellence in verbal and written communication. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one settings, as well as in small and large group situations, to a variety of audiences. Ability to prioritize tasks, plan work within the larger contest of known program goals, make thoughtful decisions, and work independently on occasion. Proficiency in MS Office Applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Experience in using a student information system (BANNER, DATATEL, Admission Pros, etc.). Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent customer service, oral communication, and interpersonal skills to deal effectively, with a broad range of administrators, staff, faculty, students, and visitors. Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects. Review and manage student applications including contacting applicants regarding procedure compliance, offering guidance, and to ensure on-time submission of required components.
