JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a Senior Economist with a proven track record of leading economic and valuation-related consulting projects in a litigation setting. The position is available in Durham, NC or San Diego, CA. Candidates should specify geographic preference in their cover letter.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Independently develop economic approaches to solving client cases;
- Serve as thought leader to project teams;
- Develop complex economic, financial, valuation and econometric models;
- Guide project teams in developing reports and other work products, taking ownership for the final product prior to expert and client delivery;
- Communicate with experts and clients throughout the life of the project;
- Manage, guide and mentor analysts and consultants;
- Lead the development of research and publication agenda for the company as appropriate.
- Ph.D. in Economics, Business, Finance or Accounting.
- 3-5 years of post-graduate work experience in economic consulting.
- Proven track record of project management in economic consulting.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in research, analysis, report drafting, communication of complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional analytical reasoning, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to model and teach superior work habits.
