This position installs, services, and maintains commercial dishwashers and chemical dispensing equipment used for detergents and other products from the Correction Enterprises Janitorial Products Plant. The primary customers are NCDAC Prisons, as well as state, county, and school facilities in the northwestern region of North Carolina. Daily travel with occasional overnight stays is required.
Key responsibilities include training kitchen staff and offender operators on proper equipment use, troubleshooting dish-detergent systems, and responding to service requests or product-related issues. The technician will inspect connected dishwashers for efficiency, maintain detailed service records, and submit required reports to designated personnel.
Experience in customer service is required, along with the ability to service commercial dishwashing and chemical dispensing equipment. This includes replacing parts such as pumps, motors, timers, circuit boards, and piping components. The role also involves installing and maintaining chemical dispensers, requiring knowledge of pumps, fittings, detection probes, and electrical connections.

- Considerable knowledge of the methods, practices, and materials used in general maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery.
- Skill in the use of tools required in various technically complex trades

- Physical strength sufficient to perform heavy physical tasks for extended periods of time.
