Position: Desk Clerk Soldier Readiness Center (SRC)

INFINISOURCE CONSULTING SOLUTIONS (ICS)

Job Type: Full‑time, Contract

Job Summary

Provide administrative processing support to Service Members at the Soldier Readiness Center for their deployment/redeployment requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure Soldiers and civilians have completed every station in the SRC process.
  • Identify a Soldier or civilian’s deployable status and ensure it is reflected on DA Form 7425, Readiness and Deployment Checklist.
  • Make certain all persons processing through SRC sign out on the appropriate roster.
  • Validate Soldiers during the Annual SRC process.
  • Perform duties at in‑processing, personnel records and out‑processing stations in the Soldier Readiness Center process.
  • Perform general administrative duties, such as answering phones and addressing customer questions.
  • Assist fellow staff members in controlling the flow of Soldiers throughout the SRC process and process Soldiers for all personnel stations when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring and assessing performance of yourself to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Use discretion when processing Soldiers’ personal information.
  • Working knowledge of personnel stations.
  • Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choose the most appropriate one.
  • Ability to detect when something is wrong or likely to go wrong (recognizing a problem). Not necessarily solving it.
  • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce coherent answers.
Education and/or Experience
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of personnel administrative experience.
  • Working knowledge of Army rank structure and military unit relationships.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 1 security investigation (Secret clearance).
Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails and correspondence from inside and outside the organization. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to senior management, contracting officials, clients and other employees.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to organize work, define and solve problems, establish and manage priorities, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions based on facts. Manager participates in prioritization of work and decision‑making on resource allocation. The incumbent must be able to analyze a situation analytically, evaluate facts and data, and formulate a plan of action.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must possess a valid U.S. state driver’s license applicable for the type and class of vehicle being operated.

Work Environment

Duties are primarily performed in an office environment; however, travel to off‑site projects may involve work outdoors, in warehouses, supply points, motor pools, maintenance facilities, etc., for short periods of time.
