General Superintendent

An established, top-tier ENR-ranked contractor is seeking a General Superintendent to lead all field operations on large-scale data center construction projects. This is a key, site-based leadership position with full responsibility for day-to-day execution, safety, schedule, and team coordination. You will act as the senior field leader, responsible for driving all on-site construction activities while ensuring alignment with project objectives, safety standards, and client expectations.

• Lead daily coordination of subcontractors and trades to ensure schedule and quality targets are met
• Oversee site logistics, sequencing, and execution strategy
• Manage general conditions budgets and site-related cost controls
• Maintain and update project schedules, including recovery and contingency planning
• Enforce safety standards and lead site-wide safety culture initiatives
• Review contract documents to identify risks and proactively resolve issues
  
  Lead subcontractor and coordination meetings
• Manage permitting and compliance requirements
• Oversee quality control planning and execution
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation
• Support preconstruction, scope development, and procurement activities
• Develop and mentor field staff, including Superintendents and Field Engineers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and stakeholders

• Strong field leader who drives performance through clear communication, accountability, and team development
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage large teams across complex builds
• Commercially aware, with understanding of market conditions and project drivers
• Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate risk and plan long-term solutions

• Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10-15+ years of construction experience in a lead Superintendent role
  • Strong background delivering data center or mission-critical projects (preferred)
• Certifications
  • OSHA 30, STS-C (preferred)
  • First Aid / CPR / AED

• Strong technical understanding across all construction divisions
• Advanced scheduling and cost control experience
• Proficient with construction management software and Microsoft Office
• Experience with pull planning methodologies
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Proven experience managing and developing field teams
