Position Description
The Construction Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for guiding clients through the construction process while providing professional project management to produce high quality projects on time and on budget. This role is fully responsible for multiple single‑family projects concurrently while periodically supporting other firm operations. At Haven, construction professionals collaborate with design professionals every day.
Responsibilities- Be an expert guide to clients by leading construction services.
- Manage client relationships and ensure quality customer service.
- Understand, communicate, and ensure the execution of client values, goals, and vision.
- Provide clients with timely, accurate, and helpful information, including:
- Facilitating bi‑weekly client meetings (with agendas and minutes).
- Creating and managing schedules (Gantt).
- Accurate construction budgeting and reporting.
- Prepare and manage construction schedules.
- Prepare and manage construction budgets.
- Collaborate and coordinate site supervisor work.
- Manage project administration and documentation.
- Permit submittal and coordination.
- Coordinate with inspections.
- Prepare and release bid packages.
- Review and approve bidders, check bids for compliance.
- Manage and schedule subcontractors.
- Order specification materials and equipment.
- Review and approve expenses.
- Prepare progress invoicing and payments.
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in an applicable industry).
- Strong understanding of project management and highly organized.
- Confident and capable guide for clients.
- Ability to work within a collaborative team environment.
- Must possess technical and trade knowledge required to manage residential construction.
- Demonstrates systematic commitment to all construction best practices.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills.
- Maintain positive relationships through courteous and respectful actions.
- Must have a smartphone with a data plan.
- Must possess a valid NC driver’s license.
- The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
- 100% client satisfaction.

- Projects are on budget and on schedule.
- Build long‑term partnerships with trade partners.
- W2, salaried, full‑time employment. Salary based on experience.
