Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (. We are currently looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team for a construction project in Durham, North Carolina.
-Project: highway
-Estimated duration of the position: 2 years
- In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
-Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed land and construction surveys to support the planning, design, and execution of highway improvements.
- Establish and maintain accurate control points and benchmarks using GPS, total stations, and other modern surveying equipment.
- Perform layout and staking for the addition of new lanes, bridge replacements, and other structures.
- Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure alignment with design specifications and tolerances.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, construction managers, and contractors to resolve discrepancies and ensure quality.
- Prepare clear and precise survey documentation, reports, and maps for project records and compliance.
-Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in highway/road/ heavy civil construction projects or similar, working directly with the construction company.
- Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly
- There may be longer working hours and some weekends depending on project demands
