The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for managing all on-site electrical construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role provides leadership to field personnel, coordinates with Project Managers, subcontractors, clients, and inspectors, and ensures all work complies with project specifications, electrical codes, and company standards.

Key Responsibilities Field Operations
  • Oversee and manage all daily field operations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules.
  • Supervise and support Foremen, Lead Electricians, and field personnel across all phases of construction.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to maintain productivity and project milestones.
  • Monitor daily progress, identify potential risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure field activities are executed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and company standards.
Project Coordination
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, clients, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate the sequencing of work to support project schedules and minimize delays.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate installation.
  • Resolve field issues, RFIs, and constructability challenges while maintaining project objectives.
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on field progress, manpower, and scheduling.
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety meetings, inspections, and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure all personnel follow safe work practices and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Investigate, document, and report incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture that emphasizes accountability and continuous improvement.
Quality Assurance
  • Inspect installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, electrical codes, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate inspections with clients, engineers, and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Identify deficiencies and oversee corrective actions to ensure quality workmanship.
  • Manage punch list completion and support successful project closeout.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, production logs, manpower records, and project documentation.
  • Track labor productivity, project progress, and field performance.
  • Review and maintain as-built drawings and field documentation.
  • Communicate project updates, schedule impacts, and field concerns to the project management team.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Foremen and field personnel to promote professional growth and high performance.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Support workforce planning, onboarding, and performance management initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, professionalism, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Superintendent or Field Leadership role within the electrical construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing electrical construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices, installation methods, applicable codes, and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
  • Proven leadership experience managing field personnel, subcontractors, and multiple project activities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience delivering commercial, industrial, mission critical, healthcare, data center, manufacturing, multifamily, or other large-scale electrical construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, quality control, productivity management, and field coordination.
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training is preferred.
