About the Role Sunrock is hiring an Asphalt Distributor Operator to operate and maintain an asphalt distributor truck used in road construction paving and heavy civil projects
This role is essential to the paving crew and involves spraying asphalt tack coat seal coat and liquid asphalt materials on highways roadways and construction sites
This is a hands on field based CDL driving role for someone experienced in construction trucking paving operations or heavy equipment operation
Key Responsibilities- Operate an asphalt distributor truck safely and efficiently
- Apply liquid asphalt tack coat emulsion to road surfaces
- Perform pre trip and post trip inspections
- Complete required DOT and company safety reports
- Conduct basic truck maintenance greasing fluid checks upkeep
- Follow OSHA MSHA and company safety standards
- Support paving crew operations when distributor is not in use
- Work outdoors in road construction environments
- Class B CDL Commercial Drivers License
- Tanker Endorsement
- Haz Mat Endorsement
- Experience operating construction trucks or heavy equipment
- Ability to work long shifts 814 hours
- Ability to work in outdoor construction environments
- Asphalt distributor operation
- Road construction or paving crews
- Seal coat tack coat application
- Heavy civil construction
- Highway or DOT project work
- Standing climbing bending lifting up to 50 lbs
- Working around heavy machinery
- Exposure to weather noise dust and vibration
