Intake Specialist Department: CSBG FSLA Status:

Position Summary:
(Primary Function) Recruitment, intake, income verification, data entry, reports, and referrals both within Mountain Projects, Inc. and outside to other human service providers. Will perform outreach intake as needed.
Essential Functions:

• Take applications and verify income.
• Complete a needs assessment on each family and make appropriate referrals.
• Maintain a central filing system for all applicants.
• Work with other agencies when referring clients for services.
• Complies with quarterly report information for CSBG and does follow-up.
• Attend regular staff meetings.
• Completion of Monthly Budget Reports
• Timely responses to phone messages and e-mails per agency policies 1.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED– Some college preferred.
• Ability to operate a personal computer.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Knowledge of office operation and filing.
2. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Must be very detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks, organize daily activities, and be able to multitask projects/tasks.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs, multiple task demands, and work structures.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, emails, and memos.

Working Conditions:
• Light to moderate physical activity performing non-strenuous administrative work.
• Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation with quiet to moderate noise.
• Physical demands: able to lift up to 25 pounds, manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items.
• Works with fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
• Climb, balance, stoop, kneel; frequently move about, able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• At times, be outdoors in all weather conditions.
