Member Services Attendant (Part-Time Staff)

You’ll serve as a trusted front‑line representative, helping members navigate services while upholding Duke’s commitment to excellence and belonging.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Support the Assistant Director of Memberships with administrative and operational tasks related to membership management.
- Provide front‑line customer service, assisting members with benefits, inquiries, purchases, renewals, and account support.
- Accurately process payments, refunds, and account adjustments in alignment with departmental procedures.
- Troubleshoot access and account issues, coordinating with IT, Guest Services, and facility staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate digital and paper records while ensuring data privacy and compliance with departmental standards.
- Assist with membership reporting, outreach initiatives, tabling opportunities, and retention efforts.
- Uphold Duke Recreation & Physical Education’s customer service, professionalism, and inclusion standards in every interaction.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills; prior experience in a service or administrative setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow established protocols.
- Comfort using computer systems, membership software, and mobile applications (Fusion experience preferred).
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and discretion when handling sensitive member information.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, staff, alumni, community members, and campus partners.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as U SD $18.00 to USD $22.87.
