Hours:
8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
OHASP licensure is required
Job Description SummaryProvides oral health care, dental health education, and remediable intraoral procedures to patients in the hospital clinic.
Job DescriptionEssential Functions:
Examines patients' teeth and gums to identify any oral health issues.
Cleans teeth by removing plaque, tartar, and stains.
Educates patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provides advice on diet and lifestyle choices that can impact oral health.
Administers local anesthesia and applies cavity-preventive agents such as fluoride and sealants.
Takes and develops dental X-rays to help diagnose dental problems.
Keeps detailed patient records and maintains a clean and sterile work environment.
Education RequirementGraduate of an accredited dental hygiene school, required.
Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
Licensure RequirementLicensed to practice in the State of Ohio, required.
Passed the National Boards, required.
Passed the Northeast Regional Boards, required.
CertificationsCertified in CPR, required.
SkillsRobust communication skills, required.
Demonstrates ability to treat and teach healthy and medically compromised patients.
Possesses strong manual dexterity.
ExperienceSix months of relevant experience, preferred.
