In this role, you'll help guide a diverse portfolio of projects including parks, mixed-use developments, commercial sites, and master-planned communities, balancing visionary design with practical implementation. What You'll DoAs a Senior leader within the team, you'll play a key role in both project delivery and professional development by:
- Leading project teams through all phases of design and construction.
- Mentoring and developing landscape architects and design staff.
- Managing complex projects while balancing quality, budget, schedule, and client expectations.
- Creating innovative and sustainable design solutions across a variety of project types.
- Collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to bring project visions to life.
- Strengthening client relationships through ongoing engagement, networking, proposals, and presentations.
- Guiding entitlement, permitting, and regulatory processes to support successful project approvals.
- Overseeing site planning, land development, and landscape architecture design efforts.
- Managing project budgets, schedules, staffing, and resources.
- Solving design and construction challenges while maintaining project goals and design intent.
- Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and design excellence.
You are an experienced landscape architect who combines technical expertise with leadership and relationship-building skills.
Required Qualifications- 8+ years of progressive landscape architecture experience.
- Professional Landscape Architect License (PLA/RLA).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Experience leading projects involving parks, commercial developments, mixed-use projects, or master-planned communities.
- Strong knowledge of site planning, permitting, entitlement, and land development processes.
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and inspire design professionals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
- Portfolio showcasing design excellence and experience across multiple project phases.
- Experience with Civil 3D and Revit.
- Background in land development and site layout.
- Experience supporting business development efforts, proposals, and client interviews.
- Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and best practices.
- A passion for mentoring and helping others grow professionally.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Durham, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
