Position: Adjunct (Spanish)
The mission of the Department of Language and Literature at North Carolina Central University is to engage students in languages, cultures, literatures, linguistics, and writing. We foster students' analytical and creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and communication strategies to prepare students for their responsibilities in civic and professional life. The Department of Language and Literature is responsible for teaching GEC courses in English, Foreign Languages, Humanities, and Philosophy.

The department also houses degree programs in English, Foreign Languages, and Interdisciplinary Studies.

Primary Purpose of Position

To teach 1-3 sections of Spanish I and/or Spanish II per semester

To hold 4-8 office hours per week

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching in both face-to-face and/or online formats.

Minimum Education /Experience

* M.A. in Spanish or Romance Language Required;

* Experience teaching Spanish at the college level

Licenses or Certification required by Statute or Regulation
