Milk Education is working closely with a welcoming primary school in the Durham area to appoint a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for someone with strong early years or KS1 experience who is passionate about supporting young learners as they grow, explore and achieve key developmental milestones.

The RoleAs a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children’s learning and wellbeing across the early years or KS1 setting. You’ll work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging activities, offer tailored support and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities Include:- Providing high-quality physical, emotional, social and academic support
- Assisting with planning and delivering activities linked to the EYFS/KS1 curriculum
- Supporting outdoor learning and nature-based play where appropriate
- Acting as a Key Person for a small group and helping to build strong relationships with families
- Observing and assessing pupil progress and contributing to learning records
- Helping maintain a safe, clean and organised environment
- Working collaboratively with the wider school team to create a positive atmosphere
- Following all safeguarding procedures and promoting pupil wellbeing
- Communicating effectively with parents, carers and staff
- A full and relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification
- Experience working in a primary or early years setting
- A warm, enthusiastic and proactive approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good knowledge of EYFS/KS1 curriculum, safeguarding and child development
