Durham Academy (DA) is accepting applications for a Middle School Creative Movement and Dance Teacher. The Creative Movement and Dance Teacher is a member of the Arts Department and should have knowledge of ballet, contemporary, and jazz techniques and terminology. Strong candidates will have experience with composition, choreography, and creating performance opportunities for students of all skill levels and interests.

Duties include teaching four sections of Movement for students in grades 5 through 8, and serving as an advisor to a group of up to 12 students. This permanent full-time position will be for the 2026-27 school year.

Founded in 1933, Durham Academy is an all-gender, independent day school with 1,267

students in Pre-kindergarten through grade 12 on three campuses. The purpose of a Durham
