Primary Purpose of the Position
The School of Business at NCCU seeks a highly qualified candidate for a 9‑month, tenure‑track position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting. The candidate must earn a Ph.D. in Business with a major in Accounting from an AACSB‑accredited institution and demonstrate potential for high‑quality teaching and research. ABD candidates from AACSB‑accredited universities may be considered at the instructor level. Candidates should have teaching interests in accounting systems, data analytics, and tax, and experience using SAP is preferred.

- Teach undergraduate and possibly graduate accounting courses in face‑to‑face and online environments, demonstrating evidence of teaching effectiveness.
- Design and develop curriculum aligned with program goals and contribute to assurance of learning efforts.
- Maintain an active program of scholarly research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, and achieve quality productivity to meet AACSB accreditation standards.
- Participate in service activities to the School, University, profession, and community.
- Earned Ph.D. in Business with a major in Accounting from an AACSB‑accredited institution.
- Demonstrated potential for high‑quality teaching and research.
- Teaching interests in accounting systems, data analytics, and tax.
- Experience using SAP is preferred.
- Professional certifications or relevant professional business experience are a plus.
- ABD candidates from AACSB‑accredited universities may be considered at the instructor level, but the Assistant Professor position requires completion of all doctoral requirements by August 1 2026.
