Summary:
The College of Arts and Sciences is accepting applications for the Adjunct Faculty position in the Dialogues core curriculum. The Dialogues program blends collaborative in‑class discussions and activities with real‑world experience and focuses on Belief and Reason. Adjunct faculty will teach undergraduate courses at the Boca Raton campus. Classes are held Monday–Thursday, 2.5‑hour sessions for a four‑week term.
- Teach courses in accordance with college guidelines.
- Participate in the college’s assessment program of student performance.
- Respond promptly to student questions and concerns.
- Submit university reports and requirements (attendance, grades, student progress reports) on time.
- Proficiency with technology for instructional delivery, including learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).
- Ability to appreciate and incorporate different learning styles into instructional delivery.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Minimum master’s degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g., cultural studies, ethics, fine arts, literature, philosophy). Doctoral degrees are preferred.
- Interdisciplinary teaching experience is an advantage.
- All degrees must have been earned from regionally accredited institutions.
