Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an impactful role guiding middle school students on their educational journey as an experienced EC teacher for the 25/26 school year. You’ll be working with a dedicated team to support students in both academic and occupational skills classes, focusing on resource ELA and Math for 2-3 students receiving exceptional children’s services. A seasoned full-time ECTA will be by your side, having supported these students throughout the year—ensuring continuity and strong collaboration.
Your expertise in crafting effective IEPs and experience at the middle grades level will be valued from the first day. The position begins April 1st and runs through June 5th, serving as an essential bridge to finish the school year strong. As the program supports a specialized academic and occupational skills curriculum, your skill in differentiating instruction and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom will make a lasting difference.
Whatyou’ll bring:
- Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Demonstrated experience with middle grade exceptional children’s programs
- A strong background in developing, writing, and implementing IEPs
- Confidence in teaching resource-level ELA and Math
- Familiarity with academic and occupational skills curricula
- Proven ability to adapt quickly and manage classroom needs from day one
- Create and deliver engaging lessons tailored for students with varying exceptionalities
- Work closely with a dedicated ECTA to ensure consistent support for ECS students
- Develop, write, and update IEPs to align with student progress and goals
- Foster a safe, positive learning environment for students’ social and emotional growth
- Communicate proactively with parents and staff regarding academic and social progress
