The Department of Language and Literature is responsible for teaching GEC courses in English, Foreign Languages, Humanities, and Philosophy. It also houses degree programs in English, Foreign Languages, and Interdisciplinary Studies.

Teach General Education Courses in Arts & Humanities.

• Hold 4-8 office hours per week.
• Participate in Humanities Faculty Development Sessions.
• Attend department meetings.

• Strong classroom‑management skills.
• Ability to teach classes of approximately 45 students.
• Proficiency with Canvas and other technological platforms.
• Willingness to communicate with students and engage in faculty development.

Hold a M.A. degree with a minimum of 18 credit hours in English, African‑American Studies, or a related Humanities discipline.
