Teaching campus and online classes in the counselor education program, student advisement, supervision of practicum and internship, participation in school and university service, and scholarly activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesCandidates will possess an earned doctorate from a CACREP accredited Counselor Education and Supervision Program from a regionally accredited institution. Candidates must demonstrate potential for effective teaching in counselor education at the graduate level; research and service; and activity in appropriate professional societies. Strong interpersonal skills, strong identity as a counselor educator, and excellent organizational and communication skills are expected.
Minimum Education /ExperienceDoctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP approved program, licensed professional counselor supervisor (or eligibility) in North Carolina. Preference will be given to candidates with successful university teaching experience including online education, advisement, internship supervision, and CACREP accreditation involvement.

Key Responsibilities and Related CompetenciesPrimary teaching responsibilities include face-to-face, hybrid, and online graduate courses in counselor education and related areas. Supervision of clinical field experiences.
Academic advising, university service, collaboration, accreditation related activities, promotion of the program, and the university. Other duties assigned by the department chair.
Research leading to refereed publications and presentations.
