Knowledge and understanding of the college or graduate student experience and student life. Ability to communicate professionally with diverse audiences in written, verbal, and face-to-face settings.
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree, preferably in theology, religion, or a related field. One to two years of experience in admissions, recruitment, student services, or a related field, preferably within a theological seminary, divinity school, or higher education setting. Familiarity with and appreciation for the diversity of Christian denominations and ecclesial traditions.
Other Requirements Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively for recruitment and outreach activities. Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. This position is onsite, with significant travel required for recruitment and outreach activities.
Be Bold. Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective students and applicants throughout the admissions cycle using timely, professional, and creative outreach through email, phone, virtual platforms, and in-person interactions.
Evaluate applications for admission, applying established admissions criteria and standards, preparing recommendations regarding admissibility, and contributing to enrollment decision-making. Manage recruitment strategies and enrollment goals by monitoring inquiry, applicant, and yield data; implementing targeted action plans; and collaborating with admissions leadership to meet strategic enrollment objectives. Support and lead special initiatives such as on-campus or virtual events, communications projects, yield activities for admitted students, and special projects aligned with the mission and objectives of the Office of Recruitment and Admissions.
