Position Summary

The Compounding Director for the Asheville (AVL) Campus will play a critical role in supporting the delivery and ongoing refinement of the redesigned pharmaceutical compounding course. The role includes coordinating and assisting with ordering for the AVL campus, maintaining lab setup and preparation, delivering pre‑lab instruction, managing IAs, overseeing two weekly lab sessions, ensuring consistency in instructional delivery, and providing assessment of AVL student deliverables.

The Director will also liaise with Chapel Hill course leadership to ensure alignment in course expectations, assessments, and overall student experience.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and assist with ordering for the AVL campus.
  • Maintain lab setup and preparation.
  • Deliver pre‑lab instruction.
  • Manage logistical needs for Instructional Assistants (IAs).
  • Oversee two weekly lab sessions (Fall 2026 semester) scheduled Wednesdays 3:20–5:20 pm and Thursdays 3:00–5:00 pm.
  • Ensure consistency in instructional delivery.
  • Assess AVL student deliverables.
  • Liaise with Chapel Hill course leadership to align expectations, assessments, and overall student experience.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • BS in Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications , Competencies, and Experience
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Pharmacy Practice experience in compounding.
