Overview

Travel Nursing Instructor - Southeast Region. Kaplan North America, the world leader in test preparation, is hiring Master's prepared nurses to join our Southeast Regional travel teaching team. The role involves traveling to locations across the United States to teach NCLEX preparation classes, with primary locations including North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Arkansas. This PRN opportunity supports students by helping them succeed on the NCLEX exam.

Teachers receive paid training, teach from a pre-existing curriculum, and participate in ongoing development to enhance teaching, presenting, and mentoring skills. Additional support is offered through the Kaplan Learning Integrated Coaching (KLIC) program as a separate but related role, providing individualized guidance via email based on student progress through Kaplan materials.

Location:

Remote/Nationwide, USA. Travel requirements and schedules are determined based on business needs and availability.

• Teach multiple in-person NCLEX preparation sessions at various locations throughout the year.
• Maintain a high energy level and ability to engage students to ensure an excellent learning experience.
• Effectively facilitate learning and learner development.
• Learn Kaplan methodology and strategies quickly and apply them in instruction.
• Facilitate active and ongoing classroom management.
• Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and ongoing instructional meetings as required.

• MSN or BSN with Masters required.
• Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse.
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience required.
• Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
• Travel required — lead times, locations, and dates determined by business needs and availability.

• Competitive hourly teaching rates starting at $50/hr.
• All travel costs paid for by Kaplan.
