North Carolina Central University (NCCU) seeks a qualified clinician to join our Psychology Department. The role will enhance student learning, contribute to program development, and support the university’s commitment to academic excellence.
Primary Purpose of PositionTo teach graduate‑level clinical courses and related undergraduate courses, including course planning, grading, and student advising. Hold office hours and supervise practicum students as required.
Responsibilities- Deliver effective instruction of graduate and undergraduate clinical psychology courses.
- Develop and maintain course materials and assessments.
- Use Canvas and other university technology tools for course delivery.
- Supervise practicum students and maintain supervisory documentation.
- Hold regular office hours for student support.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program improvement.
- PhD or PsyD in Psychology or related field.
- Current North Carolina license, practicing in the state.
- Experience with clinical assessment (personality, cognitive, neuropsychological, psycho educational).
- Knowledge of therapeutic modalities (psychodynamic, cognitive‑behavioral, Adlerian, Gestalt, existential, dialectical behavior, family therapy).
- Proficiency in Canvas and other university instructional technologies.
- Strong classroom management and lesson‑planning abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
