Milk Education is looking for a compassionate, approachable and positive Pastoral Support Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Durham

You’ll work closely with teachers and school staff to support pupils with their emotional wellbeing, confidence, relationships and engagement with school life
.

• Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Providing emotional and pastoral support.

• Supporting positive friendships and relationships.
• Encouraging pupils to engage positively with school.
• Running small-group activities around wellbeing and confidence.

• Are naturally approachable, empathetic and positive

• Have excellent communication skills.
• Enjoy helping children overcome challenges.
• Are patient, consistent and trustworthy.
• Have experience in education, childcare, youth work, mentoring, community work or similar.
• Are a graduate or aspiring teacher.
• Have volunteering or placement experience with children
  .

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
